Qualifications:
- PhD Degree related to Robotics (Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering. Mechatronics)
- Research excellence in robotics as evidenced by peer reviewed publications in top relevant journals, appropriate for career stage.
- Hands-on experience in algorithm development and implementation, for robots development, mechatronics, robot vision and robot-bird interaction.
- Experimental robotics
- Skills in ROS, ROS-based simulation systems, Gazebo and/or other robot simulation software
- Excellent writing and communication skills
Fields:
- Female Houbara Bustard Biomimetic Robot Hardware Design and Development.
- AI-Based Computer Vision Algorithms for Behavioral Observations and Interactions.
- Data Collection and Feature Identification
- Behavioural Studies based on Video Prediction Tasks.
- Localization and Navigation.
- Record (and stream) sensor data, including (a) RBG videos and (b) thermal camera images, for the behavioural studies of the birds. The recording (and streaming) to be controlled remotely or autonomously.
