The College of Islamic Studies (CIS) was established as a home for contemporary Islamic studies and to provide a unique platform for faculty and students to contribute to intellectual debates on Islam in a global context. HBKU’s CIS invites applications for a faculty position in Education to begin in the academic year 2023-2024 at the rank of Assistant Professor. Successful candidates should be specialized in Islamic religious education CIS is looking for two candidates:

Qualifications & Experience
- PhD or terminal degree from an accredited university that emphasizes applied modalities in the field of Education.
- 2-5 years of relevant full-time university teaching experience in research, higher education, or closely related areas in industry (additional experience may be required to show equivalency), with evidence of increasing professional maturity and productivity.
- Evidence of proficiency and success in teaching, student supervision, and curriculum and program development.
- Research and scholarly achievements are judged competent and adequate for the relevant rank in comparison with peers active in the same field at a major research university.
- Significant national, regional, and international reputation in scholarly endeavors (funded research grants, publications, etc.) in comparison with peers active in the same field at a major research university.
