HBKU’s College of Humanities and Social Sciences (CHSS) invites applications for the position of Dean. The dean will provide visionary leadership for the college in alignment with HBKU’s strategic plan and Qatar’s National Vision 2030, which focuses on economic, human, social, and environmental development.

Qualifications & Experience

1. PhD in an area of social sciences or humanities.
2. Must have earned the rank of professor at an established, well-recognized university.
3. Proven experience in academic leadership, including successful administration, program development, and strategic planning.
4. An excellent track record of scholarly research, publications, and funded research projects.
5. A forward-thinking approach to the role of humanities and social sciences in addressing local, regional, and global challenges.
6. A track record of engaging and collaborating with stakeholders.
7. Knowledge of the region and proficiency in the Arabic language are desirable.
