Title: Academic Position

The Faculty of Business and Economics offers undergraduate programs in “Logistics” and “International Business and Service Management”, and postgraduate programs in a “Master of Business Administration (MBA)” and a Master of Science in Hydrogen Economy and Technology. We are seeking a collaborative and enthusiastic individual to join our growing department.

The faculty is looking for collaborative candidates with demonstrated evidence of effective teaching and research in Logistics and Supply Chain Management. Courses to be taught include Quantitative Methods and Operations Management (e.g., Procurement, Production logistics, Distribution, Transportation Logistics, Optimization and Simulation Techniques, Factory Planning, etc.). The position is available at the Assistant/Associate Professor level.

Salary and Benefits:

The salary is internationally competitive. Offers are subject to receiving Omani teaching and labour permits, which will be arranged by the University. Qualifications:

  • Hold a PhD degree or equivalent in Logistics.
  • Have strong research record as demonstrated by international publications.
  • Possess appropriate academic professional qualifications.
  • Teaching and industry experience in the relevant discipline is an asset.
  • Demonstrate evidence of excellence in teaching undergraduate courses and experience in teaching postgraduate courses and supervising thesis.
  • Experience in developing course curricula according to accreditation and international standards.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented multi-cultural environment.
