The Department of Mass Communication and Media in the College of Arts and Science at GUST invites applicants for a full-time faculty position in Visual Communication to start in Fall 2025. The successful candidate will teach courses such as Design Fundamentals, Communication Layout and Design, Typography, Visual Culture and Promotion Design. Qualifications:
- The applicant must have completed an MFA or PhD in Graphic Design, Visual Communication Design, or a related field from a reputable North American (U.S. or Canada) or Western European university. All candidates should possess a technical mastery of industry-standard technologies and software, including the Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects) and have a strong foundation in typography & hierarchy. The ideal candidate should have a strong commitment to quality teaching, have a mix of academic, professional and technical expertise in this area. He/she should possess excellent communication skills in English, must be ambitious, self-motivated, hard-working, with the ability to work both individually and as part of a team.
